Today I’m going to talk to Kyle Spears. Kyle Spears is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Certified Marriage and Family Therapist in Omaha, Nebraska. He specializes in helping men with trauma, masculinity, and depression. Last year he started a YouTube channel and a podcast and has a website where people can go to get resources for issues that relate to trauma and theology. Kyle Spears is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Certified Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Nebraska. He works in private practice at the Attachment and Trauma Center of Nebraska utilizing EMDR in working with Complex Trauma, PTSD, and DID. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, he works to help heal marriages and complex family issues. He also specializes in helping men with trauma, masculinity, and depression. Last year he started a YouTube channel and a podcast and has a website where people can go to get resources for issues that relate to trauma and theology. Kyle is currently working on his first book that will provide a basic understanding of trauma to equip both ministers and members. He is also working on a book with Michael Burns called the “The Big Lie” that will address the aspect of racial and intergenerational trauma.
Kyle was baptized as a senior in high school and has been a disciple for almost 20 years. His wife Kristi works as a Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Together, they are raising their son Shea Christopher who is 2 years old and Kristi is due to give birth to their second child Amya Renee in December.
